production method | 9.3g(50mmol) of benzyl trimethylammonium chloride and 3.8g(25mmol) of sodium suxide are dissolved in a mixed solvent of 80ml of water and 50ml of dichloromethane, and 30.2g(175mmol) of 47% hydrobromic acid is slowly added dropwise for about 15min under ice bath cooling and stirring. The organic layer is separated, and the water layer is extracted with dichloromethane. The organic layers were combined and dried with anhydrous MgSO4. The solvent was distilled, and the residue was recrystallized with dichloromethane-ether (5:1,V/V) to obtain 16.6g of orange-red crystal with 85% yield. |
